Connection and configuration
Connecting an external energy meter
The product is compatible with the following energy meters:
- Siemens PAC1600 7KT1661 (The energy meter incl. the current transformer and instructions can be ordered from MENNEKES using part no. 18626.)
- TQ Energy Manager EM 420 / KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter
- Install the external energy meter in the upstream electrical installation.
- Connect the energy meter and the product with a data cable.
Configuration
To set up blackout protection, the following settings have to be made using DIP switches:

The max. amperage provided by the building connection can be set to 16 A, 20 A, 25 A, 32 A, 35 A, 40 A, 50 A or 63 A.

Configuration tool:
If the energy meter is to measure external consumers only, an additional setting has to be made in the configuration tool (“Meter measuring point” parameter).
